Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Bangkapi, participated in the INC Unity Games on September 23, 2023 as part of their commemoration for its eighth anniversary.
Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers and the local leadership of Bangkapi collaborated in organizing the said sporting event which was held at the Ascot International School Gymnasium in Bangkok, Thailand. Brother Willen Regalado, Thailand District supervising minister, and Brother Edwin Estrellado, assistant district supervising minister, graced the event.
Donned in their respective teams’ colors of red, green, yellow, purple, white, blue, pink, black, and gray, the participants, together with other brethren, marched for a parade of colors that kicked off the sportsfest. Afterwards, the oath of sportsmanship was held led by Brother Christian Angelo Cervantes, resident minister.
The athletes competed in badminton, volleyball, free throw shooting, and basketball. In between the matches, members of the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) had also enjoyed playing fun games such as sack race, among others.
Enjoying his time with other brethren, Jericho Molina, congregation’s KADIWA president, expressed, “It was a memorable experience to have this wonderful opportunity of having a Unity Games within our congregation. We were able to build a stronger bond within each member through a friendly competition.”
“Our hearts were grateful that we were able to conduct this activity with the help of our Lord God, and the congregation leadership,” said Gerald Dizon, Bangkapi’s Buklod president.
