Benguet District members care for fellowmen via blood donation

Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Benguet, in the Philippines, once more proved their concern for their fellowmen by participating in a blood donation activity on December 9, 2023.
The said humanitarian activity was held in collaboration with the Saint Louis University Sacred Heart Medical Center (SLU-SHMC) at the Upper P. Burgos Covered Court, Baguio City, Benguet. The said university hospital was also the recipient of this event’s cause.
“Donating blood is life-saving, so we encourage everyone to donate blood,” said Aaditya Prasad Yadav, a physician from SLU-SHMC. “If one person donates blood, he can help save many lives,” he added.
After the health screening of potential donors as well as the actual blood donation of those qualified among them,150 blood bags were collected.
“We are very grateful to the Church Administration for approving this activity through which we’ve been able to fulfill the commandment of God to help our fellowmen in need,” said Brother Tanny Valenciano, the district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer. — With reports from Eamereh Llorente of INC News Section
