Just in time as they commemorate the 50th anniversary of the KADIWA and Binhi, the twin youth organizations within the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), young brethren from nine local congregations of the Ecclesiastical District of Bohol gathered at the Tagbilaran Cultural Center for their district finals of “Himig Ng Kaligtasan” (Songs of Salvation) KADIWA and Binhi Edition on August 6, 2023.

Brother Raul Cervantes, the district supervising minister, led the event. Showing their full support to the performers, brethren from other local congregations in the district also attended the activity.

Choral groups reciprocated such warm welcome as their preparation for the activity yielded good results. Their choreography while showcasing their talent in singing INC original songs garnered the delight and applause of the audience.

Seeing the elation among her fellow brethren, Rochelle Vallespin from the Local Congregation of Ubay said, “This activity has further strengthened the bond of the KADIWA and Binhi in our district.”

“I am very happy, along with my fellow youth members, because we’ve been part of the performances during this activity. We will continue in this enthusiasm and keep participating in such activities,” said, Alysa Fernandez from the Local Congregation of Cambagui, whose choral group won the friendly competition. That of the Local Congregations of Tabalong and Ubay placed second and third, respectively. — With reports from Cynthia Nuez of INC News Section
