On April 9, 2022, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from various local congregations of the Ecclesiastical District of Alaska volunteered to share the ‘gift of life’ by donating blood. Led by their resident ministers, the brethren proceeded to branches of the Blood Bank of Alaska nearest them, like those in Anchorage and in Fairbanks.

“We, Iglesia Ni Cristo members, are taught by the Church Administration, to obey the commandment of God, that is, to love our fellowmen and help those in need. This is one of the ways by which we express our love for our fellowmen,” said Brother Richard Calangian, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Anchorage.

The blood donation drive also served as an opportune time for the brethren to share their faith to the medical workers who facilitated the activity. They did so by giving out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine and inviting them to upcoming evangelical missions. — With reports from INC News Section
