The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Capatan in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan South, Philippines, underwent and has recently completed major renovation. For such a wonderful blessing, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members there thanked the Almighty God through a worship service on October 27, 2023.

Brother Elmer Abalos, district supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion. In his preaching, he reiterated to the brethren the house of worship’s significance to the lives of God’s true and faithful servants.

“It’s truly an answered prayer that our house of worship be repaired. Our fervor in our services to our Lord God has been renewed,” said Leo Juan, head deacon.

Teresita Tasi, deaconess and finance officer, shared that “the house of worship is where I entrust my woes to God. This is where His graces and benevolence reside, which is why on my part, I’ll always take good care of it.”

During the said renovation, brethren temporarily attended worship services at the houses of worship of the Local Congregation of Caritan, and Larion Bajo Extension, which are 4.2 and 2.6 kilometers, respectively, from where they live.

From having 120 seats, the Capatan house of worship has been upgraded and can now accommodate 200 worshipers at a time.  For better sound quality during worship services, a state-of-the-art audio system and a Johannus organ were installed, as well as CCTV cameras for added security. Located at Ipil-ipil Street, Barangay Capatan, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, it is approximately five kilometres away from the district office in Tuguegarao City. — With reports from Jonathan Lavadia of INC News section
