A district-wide Care for Humanity activity was held in the Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia on October 29, 2023 for the benefit of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) in the country.

Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregations of Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya, and Bangsar brought their guests at the Ancasa Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which served as the main site; those from the Local Congregations of Penang, Bukit Indah and Johor Bahru at their respective places of worship, and remotely connected to the former via videoconferencing technology.

These humanitarian activities began with the brief study of God’s words led by Brother Ronaldo Lising, district supervising minister. His biblical preaching detailed which Church will be saved on Judgment Day.

“I came to this event because I really wanted to listen to and be knowledgeable about God’s words which are important. So, I’m very happy that I was able to attend,” expressed Hellen Garque, one of the guests.

The activity ended with the distribution of care packages containing basic grocery items and other necessities.

Another guest, Maria Marites Flor, said, “I thank the Church Of Christ for this activity. The packages will truly help me and my family. It’s a great blessing for us.”

A candidate for baptism, Muhammad Asim Yazeer, who was also present during the event, observed, “It was a nice experience seeing other people being helped by the brethren. Thank you so much for being part of this.”

Jane Allam, a Church member from Subang Jaya Congregation, invited some of her friends and colleagues because according to her, “I’d like to share them the blessings, not only the material things, but most especially the truth that will be taught to them.”

Grateful to God and to the Church Administration, Brother Dino Bellen, Light of Salvation district overseer, stated that such activities are “in accordance to the teachings of our Lord God written in the Bible. We vow to continue uniting with the aim and purpose of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, that we must share the words of our Lord God.” — With reports from Kate Sebastian of INC News Section
