In celebration of the Buklod’s 59th founding anniversary, the Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan conducted a special gathering followed by a Buklod Night. The said activities held on December 19, 2021 inspired and brought much delight to the attendees.

From the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Yokohama, Brother Manny Benedicto, the district supervising minister, led the special gathering. Through videoconferencing technology, the homily was witnessed by the married couples gathered in other houses of worship in the district. A Buklod member himself, Brother Benedicto exhorted his fellow Buklod to set themselves as good examples on how to have a happy and lasting marriage. He also reminded them through the Bible-based lesson that God expects them to lead their family in faithfully serving the Almighty God.

The Buklod Night followed soon after the special gathering. Dutifully observing health and safety protocols, couples belonging to local congregations in the area of Tokyo gathered at the Epoch Nakahara Hall in Kawasaki City, Tokyo for the activity. Other Buklod members took part in the activity via live streaming.

During the program, some couples presented live performances rendering  original Iglesia Ni Cristo Music. Some KADIWA members facilitated interactive games for the married couples to bring excitement. A slideshow of wedding photos and family portraits highlighted the evening.

The couples took delight in the event as evident by the evening dresses and suits they wore—even those at home—as well as the romantic setting prepared for the wonderful dinner that capped the night.

The Buklod members in the district promise to remain steadfast in their membership in the Church Of Christ while leading their respective families in faithfully serving God. ― With reports from INC News Section
