Baptisms held by two districts in the Negros Island of the Philippines brought joyful hope to new members of the Church Of Christ.

“I’m truly honored and happy that I’m now a full-fledged Church Of Christ member. With this, I can hope for the promised salvation on Judgment Day,” said Joey Apolinario, a convert from the Sibulan Congregation who was one of those baptized on May 29 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Dumaguete City in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental.

During the Bible-based preaching by Brother Renato Callejo, district supervising minister, the candidates for baptism were encouraged to remain faithful in obeying all the commandments of God taught to them so that they will truly be worthy of receiving salvation.

Likewise, in the baptism held by the Ecclesiastical District of Valladolid, Negros Occidental on May 24 at the house of worship of the Sto. Domingo Congregation, those baptized expressed their happiness of becoming a part of the fold. “I thank God for allowing me to reach the day of my baptism. I will forever cherish this gift from Him,” said Ro-ann Salcedo, who is now a registered member of the Local Congregation of Pandan.

Brother Ricky Bayanin, assistant supervising minister of Valladolid, Negros Occidental District, officiated the baptismal gathering. During the study of God’s words, he reiterated to the prospective members the blessings from God that come along with membership in the true Church Of Christ. — With reports from INC News Section
