The concerted effort of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from Negros Oriental, Philippines in the work of spreading the pure gospel of salvation has continued to reap success as their district conducted the monthly baptism of new converts to the true Christian faith on August 27, 2023.

Negros Oriental Ecclesiastical District supervising minister Brother Renato Callejo officiated at the baptismal service at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Dumaguete City.

The Bible-based lesson he delivered aimed to reinforce in the candidates for baptism how essential the true baptism was that they were about to receive. He encouraged them to be faithful to their membership in the true Church and dedicated to their services to God to be sure of salvation on the Day of Judgment.

This the would-be members, before their actual baptism, solemnly swore to fulfill all their lives with all their hearts, no matter what. One of them, Jane Cadusale, said after the baptism, “If the time of trial comes, I will strive to remain faithful in serving Him.”

Arline Cabanag, a choir member with the Sampiniton Congregation and who was instrumental in the conversion of some of the newly baptized brethren, said, “I am thankful to our Lord God because He granted my prayer. I will continue to help in the propagation work.” — With reports from Mark Mansueto of INC News Section
