Thousands of guests invited by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from all the 22 local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South attended the evangelical mission held at the Muntinlupa Sports Center in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, Philippines on April 16, 2024.

Brother Bienvenido C. Santiago, the General Evangelist of the Church, led the study of God’s words. He emphasized during his Bible-based preaching the indispensability of joining the Church Of Christ for people to receive salvation on Judgment Day.

Brother Santiago further explained that in order for one to attain eternal life on that fateful day, he must primarily obey the will of God that all be gathered in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. That is proven, he pointed out, by becoming a part of Christ’s body or becoming members of His Church—the Church Of Christ.

“The brethren’s hard work and determination were commendable,” said Brother Jerick S. dela Cruz, the district supervising minister. “In fact, a number of brethren were able to bring more than a hundred of guests. They did all of that as a result of their understanding of the importance of helping in spreading the gospel.”

“Although they each have their own responsibilities in life, such as work, they still prioritize the sharing of their faith,” added Brother Nevangel Marcos, district Light of Salvation overseer. “Upon learning that there will be an evangelical mission, they immediately scheduled invitations and distribution of Pasugo magazines so they could invite as many guests as possible.”

“We need to prioritize not only earning a living, but also devoting time to our services to God. That’s why we managed to allot time for helping in the works of propagation,” said Sancho Lacanlalay, a deacon in the Alabang Congregation.

A guest named Imelda Reyes shared her thoughts about the topic: “It’s really from the Holy Scriptures. So, it’s something that I must consider and not take for granted.”

Another guest, named Rizalito Cangayda, said he attended the evangelical mission because “I was curious about the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I noticed among my acquaintances, who are its members, are active in attending worship services, and lead orderly lives.” Regarding the lesson, he learned that the “Iglesia Ni Cristo is important for a person to be saved.” — With reports from Alger Galace of INC News Section
