On each of the four Sundays of the previous month, blood donation drives were successfully carried out in the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (Church Of Christ) Ecclesiastical District of Macau.

Specifically, the humanitarian event was conducted on March 6 by the local congregation of Macau, followed by Barra, Taipa, and San Malou on each of the succeeding Sundays.

Strictly complying with the health and safety protocols, the brethren from each congregation who volunteered to donate blood reported to a blood donation center located at Macao Alameda Dr Carlos d’Assumpcao, where they first underwent the mandatory health screenings required for all potential blood donors.

One of them was Servilliano Sarte Jr. from the Barra Congregation. “I slept early the night before our local congregation’s blood donation activity. I wanted to make sure that my body is in good condition, fit to donate. I also ate nutritious meals days leading to the activity so that I could quickly regain strength right after giving blood,” he said.

“What motivates me to participate here is my unity with the Church Administration, as well as the good benefits that blood donation provides for my body,” said Cristina Cabanding, also from Barra.

Led by Brother Celestino Bacsafra, district supervising minister, the Ecclesiastical District of Macau continues to hold various humanitarian activities, including blood donation drives, for the benefit of general public. — With reports from INC News Section
