Livelihood seminars, disaster preparedness, and healthcare, are some of the many socio-civic projects that the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members tirelessly conduct. They do so in accordance with the biblical teaching about caring for one another. In line with this, the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) officers and members in the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo North, Philippines, held a blood donation activity at ILECO Gymnasium in Sara, Iloilo, Philippines on January 26, 2024.

“It is a biblical teaching upheld by the Church that we show concern to our fellowmen, which is why I’m happy to have participated in this blood donation,” said Cherrylyn Bajada, KADIWA district officer, a first time donor. “Through this act of kindness, we glorify our Lord God,” she added.

Led by the district supervising minister, Brother Abner Flores, the district CMDPS duly collaborated with the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC), the recipient of this humanitarian effort, whose staff assisted the volunteers, especially the first-timer donors.

“Additional blood supply is very essential in all healthcare institutions especially when there are medical emergencies, and we should always maintain its sufficient amount,” said Dr. Paulyn Zonita of the WVMC. “We are very thankful for this drive spearheaded by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).”— With reports from Jean Rago of INC News Section
