Brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Macau were again given inspiration through music in the final round of their district’s Songs of Faith, Love, and Hope (SOFLAH) KADIWA and Binhi edition on August 20, 2023 at the function hall of Macau Congregation’s place of worship.

The four finalists thus serenaded the audience with Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music. Jigs Pluma and Christia Manuel, both from the Local Congregation of Macau, sang Ikaw Ang Hiling (You’re the one I prayed for) and At All Times, respectively. Ligaya Trinidad from San Malou Congregation sang Ngayon Na (Right Now). Taipa Congregation’s Bherlie Miranda sang Samahan Mo Po Ako, Ama (Please be with me, Father) and Di Magsasawang Pasalamatan Ka, Ama (I will not get tired of thanking You, Father).

Church officers Len Madriaga, Venus Tumamao, and John Adrian Hernandez, who served as judges, assessed the competitors according to their voice quality, choice of song and interpretation, musicality and style, stage presence and performance, lyric clarity and intonation, and overall impact.

After such inspiring performances, Pluma was declared champion. “I felt so blessed to be part of this activity. It’s an honor to share my talent and to give honor to the Almighty God,” he said. — With reports from Jay Morales of INC News Section
