KADIWA members from the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii Pacific gathered at the banquet hall of the He’eia State Park, Hawaii to attend their activity called KADIWA Formal, which helped build friendships among them, on October 29, 2023.

Brother Gem Baitan, district supervising minister, led the young brethren in their activity. “This activity is not only for the youth to socialize, bridge the gaps, strengthen friendships, and find their life partners, but most of all, to make everyone more active in the service of the Lord God inside the Church Of Christ,” he said in his opening remarks.

Talented brethren performed their rendition of some Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music. The KADIWA officers also prepared some fun games and prizes.

“What an opportunity to meet old and new friends, especially after the height of the pandemic, when we couldn’t go out for being isolated. I enjoyed lots of food prepared for us, especially Filipino dishes,” said Julene Grace Villar from the Local Congregation of Waipahu.

“I’m inspired having met my fellow youth members. It’s a memorable way for us to connect with each other, making the true Christian brotherhood stronger,” said Achilles Del Rosario, from the Local Congregation of Ewa Beach.

“It’s nice to see the other brethren from neighboring islands and local congregations,” said Marlon Simmons of the Local Congregation of Keaau. “Traveling long distance just to be here was worth it being with my fellow brothers and sisters in the faith.” — With reports from Seville Mariano of INC News Section
