Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Malibay, Ecclesiastical District of Makati, expressed care for their fellowmen through a blood donation activity. It was held at the covered court of the Timoteo Paez Elementary School situated at 710 Apelo Cruz, Malibay, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines, on January 6, 2024.

Officers of the district Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) and that of the Social Services Office of the Church organized and facilitated this socio-civic activity in collaboration with the Rizal Medical Center, the beneficiary organization.

Volunteer brethren first availed of free medical services, such as blood typing and checking. A total of 48 bags of blood were then collected from qualified donors.

Asked about the importance of such a humanitarian endeavor, Dr. Joseph Amado Galvez, the congregation’s bishop, who is also a CMDPS officer and a dermatologist, said, “Through this activity, we can help patients who need an immediate blood transfusion.” — With reports from Makati District Multimedia
