On September 24, 2023, Haitians received baptism into the true Church Of Christ through the instrumentality of the Ecclesiastical District of Caribbean.

Brother Solomon Joves, assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, which was the host site. The gathering was livestreamed to the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Petit Goave, Haiti, where the candidates for baptism assembled.

“This baptism is a proof that the brethren here are obeying the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we go out into the world, preach the gospel and share the teachings of our Lord God, so that all people who embraced these teachings and believe in them will be baptized to become true disciples of Christ or members of the Church Of Christ,” said Brother Joves.

In his Bible-based lecture, Brother Joves emphasized to the candidates for baptism the importance of membership in the Church Of Christ, which they should never let go of, because it is only here where they can receive salvation. From English, his homily was translated to Creol by Dieunel Joseph, head deacon of the Local Congregation of Petit-Goave.

One of the Haitian natives baptized, Jenny Joseph, shared, “When I received the baptism inside the Church Of Christ, I was very happy, because I know that I will receive eternal life. Now, I will be the one inviting others to listen the truth which I received.” — With reports from Renee Suarez of INC News Section
