The Sea of Galilee was where the Lord Jesus Christ performed various miracles such as giving His disciples an abundant catch of fish at a time it was difficult to catch even one.

For the Church Of Christ in the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean, the Sea of Galilee is the name of a new group worship service (GWS) established to accommodate the growing number of Church members in the areas near the famed biblical place. On July 3, 2023, a total of 147 brethren convened for the inaugural worship service of the Sea Of Galilee GWS at Caesar Premier Tiberias Hotel in Israel.

Brother Ramil Regino, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering. In his Bible-based homily, he reminded the brethren that, being God’s people in these last days, God expects them to live in holiness. He also encouraged them to become more eager and united in following God’s commandments at all times.

Before the establishment of the said GWS, the brethren used to travel for two hours in order for them to attend worship services at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Haifa. After the inaugural worship service, their succeeding worship services will be held at 1 Ha-Banim St., Hamashbir, Tiberias.

“The worship services being held in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) is essential and of utmost importance,” Brother Regino, said. “Whenever we have worship services near our brethren, we can always fulfill the commandment of God to worship Him. That’s the very reason He created us.” — With reports from Cleofe Ariola of INC News Section
