“It is our responsibility to serve God, and that should be our top priority,” the guest Kirk John Abregana shared, which he learned upon attending the district-wide evangelical mission in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental, in the Philippines, conducted on July 28, 2023.

Led by Brother Alfredo Castro Jr., district Light Of Salvation (LOS) overseer, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Cagayan de Oro City, the said propagation activity was a part of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members’ commemoration of the Church’s 109th anniversary.

Through the Bible, Brother Castro first taught that there is only one true God, the Father in Heaven. Then, he emphasized that serving Him is of utmost importance. He further detailed that for their worship to be accepted by God, people must become and remain members of the true Church, the Church Of Christ, through which they will receive salvation on Judgment Day.

Right after the evangelical mission, many guests responded positively to the teachings they received—they enlisted as doctrinal instructees, among whom was Kirk John. It was his cousin, Anna Abregana, the KADIWA president in Cagayan de Oro City Congregation, who was instrumental in inviting him.

“Bringing guests to this activity is very important for them to understand God’s teachings. As what was taught today, people need to understand all about the true God, such as recognizing, obeying, and worshiping Him, for doing so will lead us to eternal life,” Anna said. — With reports from Jeanny Dizon of INC News Section
