The Ecclesiastical District of Tokyo, Japan inducted into office eight additional Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teachers during a special gathering held on September 25, 2022 in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Shinagawa.

CWS teachers and officers from other local congregations in the district assembled in their respective places of worship and attended the sacred occasion via videoconferencing.

Prior to the oathtaking, Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, delivered a homily expounding the great significance of the duties and responsibilities entrusted to officers in the CWS. From the Bible, he enlightened them on their crucial role of leading the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) children in the right way of serving God, as well as serving as role models in being respectful and obedient to their parents.

Among those who took their oath as CWS teachers were Naomi Osanai, from the Local Congregation of Tokyo, and Mark Eranuelle Benedicto, from the Local Congregation of Shinagawa.

Naomi said, “I promise to wholeheartedly fulfill my duties as my way of remaining united in all the endeavors of the Church.”

“Being a CWS teacher is important,” said Mark. “In this way, I could be of help in leading the young members to live in holiness and in our active services to God until they grow old.” — With reports from INC News Section
