The robust work of propagation of the Church in Southern California, USA continues as a number of new members are baptized month in and month out. For the month of October, the two adjacent ecclesiastical districts in the said region, namely, Los Angeles County and Orange County, conducted baptisms, on the 28th and 29th, respectively.

Brother Artemio Pilon Jr., supervising minister of the former officiated at the service held at the house of worship of the Los Angeles Local Congregation, whereas Brother Hanzl De Dios of the Orange County, at the Montclair Congregation’s house of worship.

Before the prospective members were immersed in the water as the Bible prescribed, the officiating ministers in each venue reiterated to them through a Bible-based homily the value of being baptized into the true Church Of Christ.

“The baptism that we administer inside the Church Of Christ is that which the Lord Jesus Christ commands, for people to not only become His disciples, but most importantly, be saved on the Day of Judgment,” said Brother De Dios in an interview after the holy occasion.

Socializing events in both districts were held after the holy baptism, as a warm welcome to the new members and provide them and the old members to establish greater rapport with one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. — With reports from Andrew Macadangdang and Janice Muldong of INC News Section
