Two venues, same aim. The “Welcome, My Brethren” activities respectively held by brethren from the Calbayog and Catbalogan areas of the Ecclesiastical District of Western Samar, in the Philippines on July 30, 2023, brought together not only the old and newly baptized but also the would-be members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Church members in Calbayog gathered at the East Awang Covered Court; those in Catbalogan at Barangay Maulong Covered Court. The fun games prepared by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers gained the attention and participation of everyone in attendance, thereby further strengthening their bond with each other.

Erwin Cabatuan, a doctrinal instructee from the Local Congregation of Catbalogan, said, “I am grateful to the Church Administration for launching activities like this that edify us who are in the process of joining the Church.”

Angel Sabulao, a newly baptized member from the Local Congregation of Calbiga, said, “This activity was fun. The variety of performances and fun games were entertaining.”

With the positive remarks from the attendees, Brother Al Jurada, the district CFO overseer, stated that, “this activity proved true to its purpose of encouraging those in the process of joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo and all the brethren to remain active in our services to the Lord God.” — With reports from Jazzel Dorador of INC News Section
