“Through the leadership of the ministers and ministerial workers in our district, the brethren remain zealous in participating in all Church activities launched by the Church Administration, most especially in the works of propagation,” Brother Ruel Zapata, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Agusan del Norte, said.

The concerted efforts of the brethren from various local congregations in the district to invite people to join the Church has proven fruitful once again, as a baptism was held on November 26, 2022. In the sacred gathering held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Butuan City, more converts were baptized into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

During the baptismal service, Brother Zapata taught the would-be members about the value of receiving baptism inside the true Church of Christ. He also reiterated to them their duty to always live in holiness so that they will be sure of receiving the promised salvation. After the homily, the baptismal candidates took their oath promising God to remain obedient to His commandments, among others.

The District of Agusan del Norte comprises local congregations in the province of its namesake, part of the Caraga region in Mindanao, Philippines. At present it supervises 49 local congregations, 15 extensions, and two group worship services (GWS). — With reports from INC News Section
