As a result of the unrelenting efforts of brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines in sharing the true faith to their fellowmen, 294 people were added into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in a baptism held on July 29, 2023 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Talisay City.

Brother Ronaldo D. Canlas, district supervising minister, officiated at the said gathering. Quoting from the Bible, he taught that people should aspire to be baptized into the Church Of Christ for God reserves His bounteous blessings to those who receive the true baptism.

Jerrinill Pangayonan, a newly baptized member from Cabanbanan Sian Extension, shared what made him decide to enter the Church Of Christ: “I used to be an altar boy in the Catholic Church. However, when I heard and understood the biblical teaching that the Father is the one true God, I decided to join the Church Of Christ.”

“Tears continue to shed as I wait for my turn to be baptized. I am truly thankful for all the brethren who guided us from the day we enlisted as biblical instructees until our baptism,” expressed Nancy Pangayonan, Jerrinill’s wife. “Whatever happens, we promise that we will fulfill our duty to always worship God.”

“Since the activities regarding the commemoration of the 109th anniversary of the Church were launched, many brethren from our district have taken part in propagating God’s words. Because of God’s help, and the unity of the brethren in sharing the true faith, a large number of people were baptized,” Brother Guillermo Fajardo Jr., district Light of Salvation overseer, said. — With reports from Finley Sanglitan of INC News Section
