A part of the lineup of activities for their district’s 67th anniversary, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from Benguet joined hands in cleaning Burnham Park, one of the top tourist attractions in Baguio City, Benguet, Philippines, on November 25, 2023.

The cleanup drive took the brethren around the park’s features, such as the Skating Rink, Rose Garden, and the Burnham Lake. They were able to collect plastic bottles, papers, and other rubbish, using disposable gloves and trash bags.

“It’s heartwarming to see, especially the youth, participate in this activity,” said Yvonne Pinangue, Children’s Worship Service officer from La Trinidad Congregation. “We are very eager to unite with the Church Administration because, through this way, we can help maintain a clean environment,” she added.

Aside from their concern for the environment, the said socio-civic activity also gave the brethren “the opportunity to bond with friends, and fellow Church officers,” said Emilouise Dela Peña, choir member from the same congregation. — With reports from Eamereh Llorente of INC News Section
