Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Bohol helped in caring for the environment through a clean-up drive along the shores of Loon Town, in Bohol, Philippines on July 29, 2023.

“Clean-up drives can bring out a sense of community and responsibility to people in keeping the environment and common areas safe and tidy,” explained Jessica Laurden, KADIWA president of the Local Congregation of Tubigon and one of the organizers of the activity. “Cleaning coasts is also beneficial for the residents’ health.”

The brethren cleaned the coastal area of Loon, which is on Sandingan Island, particularly Brgy. Mocpoc Sur. They cleared the beach of trash, driftwood, drift seed, and other naturally occurring wastes, which they disposed of properly.

“This activity made me more concerned in taking care of the environment and disciplined when it comes to disposing of wastes,” said April Joy Oracion, choir member from the Local Congregation of Cambagui. — With reports from Louise Cabahug of INC News Section
