Brethren throughout New South Wales and Queensland converged in Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium in South Windsor, Australia, for the INC Unity Games hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Australia East.

The Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district leadership organized the two-day sports event on June 12 and 13, 2022.

The participants hailed from the following local congregations: Carlingford, Parramatta, North Sydney, St. George, Croydon Park, Bankstown, Liverpool, Campbeltown, Kellyville, Blacktown City, Minchinbury, Dean Park, Penrith, and Canberra.

“An activity like this helps strengthen the bond of the brotherhood in the Church,” Brother Felix Santos, the district supervising minister, said in an interview. “We are grateful to the Church Administration for approving this activity because for a long time, for almost three years, the Church members saw each other only virtually.”

The first day of the sports event saw the parade of colors followed by the oath of sportsmanship of all participants. The awarding of winners in the various games, including basketball and volleyball, took place on the second day.

“Activities like this caters to the various interest of the brethren,” said Richard Esperanza, the district CFO overseer. “Unity Games helps to strengthen the brethren’s unity through brotherhood, sportsmanship, love for each other, and most especially in dedication to the Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
