Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from all the 52 local congregations, 10 extensions, and eight group worship services of the Ecclesiastical District of Capiz, in the Philippines, went at Barangay Dumulog, Roxas City, Capiz to hold the humanitarian activity Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) on October 27, 2023.

“This activity was approved by the Church Administration to help those who are in need,” said Brother Roderick Zapatero, Light of Salvation district overseer.

In this event led by Brother Raul Alvarez, district supervising minister, a thousand nonmembers received care packages, which contained rice, noodles, and canned goods. Among them was Joliann Benitez who said in an interview, “I thank the entire Iglesia Ni Cristo for this blessing that I received.”

Members of the Church Of Christ in Capiz have once again proven their desire to be of help to their fellowmen, which is also their way of uniting with the activities launched by the Church Administration. Joey Alejaga, head deacon from Dumulog Local Congregation, who was among those who handed over the care packages, declared: “I will continue my dedication to fulfilling the commandments of our Lord God.” — With reports from Aldie Abasolo of INC News Section
