A bowling competition organized by the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) district leadership of the Ecclesiastical District of Greater Toronto drew brethren together on June 4, 2022. The participants came from all of the district’s 16 local congregations.

“The main objectives of having this activity is to get the brethren to share the love of the Christian brotherhood and uphold the spirit of friendly competition,” said Brother Ramon Palacios, the district CFO overseer. “The three organizations—Buklod, KADIWA, and Binhi—joined the activity. This event is one of the first activities for this year conducted in person, which the brethren waited for a long time. They are very excited to participate.”

For the activity, the brethren gathered at the Splitsville Richmond Hill, a bowling alley on east Wilmot Street in Ontario, Canada. Brother Glendo Baitan, the district supervising minister, led the event with the assistance of the CFO district officers.

“Today, I bowled a lot,” said Jayvee Villanueva, a KADIWA member. “It was so long since we have been like this, since the pandemic. It is so nice to see everyone bonding once again.”

“I’m participating as a female KADIWA bowler in our local,” said Mariella from the Local Congregation of Rexdale. “Seeing everybody coming together in an environment like this is heartwarming.”

The activity concluded with the awarding of winners. — With reports from INC News Section
