As eager as the brethren instrumental in inviting and guiding them to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), 178 prospective members gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Ramos in Isabela, Philippines to receive baptism on August 26, 2023.

Brother Villamor Bayaca, assistant district supervising minister, led the sacred occasion. Through the Bible-based lesson, he reminded the candidates for baptism that Judgment Day is already near, which is why people must strive to receive salvation on that day. Such blessing will be attained, he said, if they obey all that God commands them to do, some of which are to accept baptism in the true Church—the Church Of Christ—and remain its active members until the end.

After the preaching of God’s words, the baptismal candidates took their oath of membership and received their baptism through immersion in water.

“I am very grateful to our Lord God because of His unfailing love. A proof of which is I received the true baptism today. I am now a bona fide member of the Church,” enthused Anthony Sarmiento from Ramos Congregation.

Roberto Sismundo, a head deacon in the Cordon Congregation who was instrumental in the conversion of some of the newly baptized brethren, said, “I will continue to help in the propagation work no matter what.” — With reports from Nicole Constantino of INC News Section
