Helpers of the Church Administration in edifying their fellow brethren are also in need of spiritual upliftment from time to time. So, to further strengthen them in their resolve in performing their duties, Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Manila, in the Philippines, attended a special gathering on June 12, 2023.

The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tundo served as the main site. Church officers from other local congregations gathered at their respective houses of worship and witnessed the event through livestreaming.

In the holy occasion, Brother Wilson R. Cayago, district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words. He reminded the officers the privilege and responsibilities that come with their being chosen by God to hold duties in the Church, most of which they primarily fulfill during worship services, for these edify their fellow brethren entrusted to their care.

“Having been reminded clearly of the importance of our Church duties is truly uplifting. I’m grateful for having attended this gathering,” enthused Edgardo Acebedo, deacon from the Local Congregation of Washington.

Also in this sacred activity, more than 600 brethren took their oath as new officers in the Church. Brother Alfredo Lorido, assistant district supervising minister, led their oath-taking after the study of God’s words.

Among those who took oath of office as District Multimedia officer was Brother Gian Carlo Tuazon from the Local Congregation of Syquia. “Duties in the Church are gifts from God. That is why, I promise to Him that I will do the best I can in fulfilling it,” he said. — With Reports from Czarina Hanna Sanchez of INC News Section
