Being entrusted with a duty in the Church is a great blessing to every member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). This was once again highlighted in a special gathering held in the Ecclesiastical District of Nagoya, Japan on September 3, 2023.

Officiated by Brother Manny Benedicto, district supervising minister, the holy occasion was attended by Church officers from various local congregations within the district. Many were gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Nagoya, which served as the host site, while some brethren gathered at their places of worship, connected via livestreaming.

In his Bible-based sermon, Brother Benedicto reminded all Church officers about the wonderful blessing of being chosen to hold an office inside the Church Of Christ and emphasized their important role in the Church’s growth.

“My faith has grown stronger,” expressed Melvin Nicol Galapon, a finance officer from Imabari City Group Worship Service (GWS). “I have also felt the help and blessings of the Lord God in my life. My prayers are constantly heard because I have heeded God’s call for me to hold additional responsibilities in the Church,” he added.

The Church Administration teaches members to pursue the greater gifts, such as by becoming a Church officer, because doing so brings them closer to God and the Lord Jesus Christ. — With reports from Edleen Guanko of INC News Section
