The Ecclesiastical District of Bogo City, Cebu, in the Philippines, held consecutive baptisms in the morning and afternoon of November 24, 2023 at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of Bantayan, and Bogo City, respectively.

Both baptisms were officiated by Brother Arnold Omandam, assistant district supervising minister. In his Bible-based homily, he expounded on the importance of receiving baptism in the true Church. He added that God expects those baptized to live in accordance with His will.

“I was first invited by Ymercy who is my friend and my classmate in college,” shared newly baptized Gemma Socajel from Bogo City. “She invited me to go with her to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) house of worship near our place. There I listened to the teaching of the words of God. I clearly understood the biblical teachings I heard. I was convinced that it is this Church that will be saved,” she detailed.

Ymercy Gien Pajaron, choir member from Bogo City Congregation who converted Socajel, said, “She is my friend. I want her to be saved on Judgment Day. That is why I kept on inviting her to listen to God’s words. With His help and mercy, she decided to join the Church, and now she’s been baptized. I hope that more people will do the same for them to also be certain of salvation.” — With reports from Queendelle Boctoc of INC News Section
