Contestants gathered at the house of worship compounds of the local congregations of Bogo, Paypay, San Remigio, and Sta Fe, which were the host sites of the activities of the district’s four clusters of congregations. There, they vied for the three levels of the quiz―Easy, Average, and Difficult―through questions based on past worship service lessons. Also in attendance were their parents who have been supportive to them all along.
“Not only did the children broaden their knowledge of God’s words. This activity also added zeal as they stay active in the faith,” Brother Rowel Bravo, resident ministerial worker of Doong Local Congregation, observed.
“I prepared for the Tagisan ng Talino by reviewing the worship service lessons and listening attentively during worship services,” Margarette Despi, CWS choir member from the Local Congregation of Doong, said as she won and was selected as one of the finalists.
She and other finalists, Shanaya Mangubat (from the Local Congregation of Borbon), John Kyle Godinez (Bogo), Steve Oliver Tumabini (Maño), Jeverslyn Pepito (Batad), Wayne Christoff Dela Cruz (Medellin), Wayne Arriesgado (Daanbantayan), and Lhian Faith Escarlan (Sta Fe), will be competing for the final round, which is to be held on June 17. — With reports from Mae Dela Cruz of INC News Section
