Reaping more fruits from the propagation efforts of the brethren from last year, the Ecclesiastical District of Leyte East held baptisms of new Church Of Christ faithful simultaneously in two venues on January 27, 2023.

The baptisms were held simultaneously at 9:00 AM.

Baptismal candidates from local congregations located in the province of Leyte received baptism at the house of worship of the local congregation of San Roque. Those from the local congregations in Southern Leyte were baptized at that of the St. Bernard Congregation.

Brother Raul V. Ramirez Sr., district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal service at San Roque, while Brother Alberto M. Tolentino, the assistant supervising minister, at St. Bernard.

Both ministers taught a Scripture-based lesson that enjoined the baptismal candidates to all the more pin their faith, trust, and hope in the Lord God, who helped them during trials so they reached the day of their holy baptism into the true Church and thus receive the right to serve Him and be saved.

Julian Amper, a newly baptized member from the Local Congregation of Burgos, expressed, “I barely slept the night prior to my baptism in anticipation of my baptism. I know how profound this blessing is.”

“I am patient and diligent in assisting those whom I have invited inside the Church of Christ. With the help of our Almighty God, I was able to fulfill my duties in the works of propagation,” Brother Edwin Monton, a deacon, said.

“As a ministerial worker in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), I strive to be always ready in fulfilling my duty of preaching the gospel. I also encourage the brethren under my care to be selfless in helping share the true faith. It is indeed fulfilling to see the fruits of our joint efforts finally receive baptism,” says Brother Rex Pamatian, assigned in the Local Congregation of Can-Abay. —With assistance from JP Rivera Jr.
