Propagation efforts of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in Mexico, which is under the supervision of the Central America District, bore more fruits as the Huauchinango Group Worship Service (GWS) saw the first baptism of new converts there.

The baptism was held on January 27, 2024 at the Forest Park Hotel in Huauchinango City. It was led by Brother Jonathan V. Jamias, district supervising minister. Through the Scripture-based lesson, he enjoined the baptismal candidates to even more hold on to their faith and be steadfast in their hope of receiving salvation. Afterwards, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership prior to immersion in the water led by the resident minister, Brother Paul Martinez Jr.

Among the newly baptized brethren was Adan Lopez Macin. According to him, “I am so convinced with the teachings in the Church Of Christ because everything is according to the Bible. I received the spiritual blessing that I truly need in my life.” He was first introduced to the Church through a Care for Humanity event held in their city. Now that he is a full-fledged Church member, he promised, “I will remain active and firm in my faith together with my entire family.”

Macin also expressed his gratitude to God for his daughter, Grisel Escobar Hernandez, was also baptized together with him. He shared, “Hopefully, my wife will also soon be baptized as she is also an active candidate for baptism.”

Alicia Morales Lopez, also a new convert, expressed her desire to “continue inviting more people to the Church so that they will also learn the truth written in the Bible. The Church Of Christ is different from the other churches that I have attended. This Church is the true Church because it teaches the truth and helps a lot of people.” — With reports from Lyn Martinez of INC News Section
