A preacher was among many guests who have decided to undergo instruction in Bible doctrine for eventual membership in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) after attending a series of evangelical missions jointly conducted by the two local congregations in Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby and Lae City.

Emmanuel Mathew, a preacher from the Seventh-Day Adventist, declared, “I decided to join the Church Of Christ because the truth is [being taught] here and there’s salvation in the Church Of Christ.”

On June 19, 2022, guests gathered at the house of worship of the Port Moresby Congregation to listen to the words of God led by Brother Regino Manangan Jr., a minister of the gospel; the following day, June 20, brethren from Lae City invited their friends and loved ones to an evangelical mission conducted at their place of worship. It was led by Brother Edmark Velasco, a ministerial worker.

Meanwhile, on June 27, another evangelical mission was held at the Port Moresby Congregation’s house of worship. The study of God’s words written in the Bible was officiated by Brother Manangan.

Matthew, who attended the evangelical mission in Port Moresby, observed that “the minister asked questions and the answers were from the Bible.”

“That’s why I trust that what he is teaching are the truths. I promise to continue studying, attending Bible studies [on doctrines] until my baptism, and become a member of the Church Of Christ,” he continued.

Besides Matthew, many guests also decided to pursue membership in the Church.

“The attendees were able to listen to the words of our Almighty God that serve as an eye-opener for them and declared that they will thoroughly observe in our worship services. Many of them even enlisted their names to undergo Bible studies [on doctrines],” Brother Velasco attested. — With reports from INC News Section
