After their house of worship underwent general renovation, the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Local Congregation of Calanyugan, Ecclesiastical District of Western Samar, in the Philippines, gathered for the sacred building’s rededication to God on March 31, 2023 in a special worship service that was officiated by Brother Arnulfo Soliman, district supervising minister.

“We thank God for this new house of worship. We’re all but filled with joy,” enthused Brother Glenn Udasco, district edification overseer.

In his Bible-based preaching, the district supervising minister emphasized from the Bible the importance of the house of worship to the life of God’s true servants. This is where they receive God’s words that guide them in life, Brother Soliman further detailed.

Already in her 70s and still an active member of the Church Of Christ for 53 years, Juanita Rosanto, a deaconess, expressed her firm conviction: “I’m all the more inspired to worship God.”

Aside from continuously upholding their worship of God, Brother Hillary Sanico, resident ministerial worker, said on behalf of the congregation, “We will also use this sacred place to share the true faith with our fellowmen.”

The Local Congregation of Calanyugan was established on February 28, 1969. Thus, the brethren there celebrated their congregation’s 54th anniversary almost a month prior to this recent milestone. — With reports from Edlen Zamora of INC News Section
