Members of the choir of every congregation in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary led fellow Church officers and members in bringing hundreds of guests to the evangelical mission held on April 10, 2023 at Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

Some guests interviewed after the Bible study said they observed the preaching method applied in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), aside from the clarity of the message itself conveyed by the lesson delivered for their sake.

One of them, Amy Tesfai, who “grew up in Orthodox Church [where] Bible teaching was not there a lot,” commented on the officiating minister’s preaching centered on the Holy Scriptures. “So growing up, my kids and myself in Orthodox, we haven’t learned the truth. So that’s the difference. Here, it’s all in black and white. No opinions. Just the Bible, which is the truth,” she said.

Rosman Valencia, on the other hand, enthused, “Tonight was definitely very special because it showed that there are things that people really need to do. Basically, one is to be holy. And he should praise God. That’s all in the Bible.”

Officiating minister Brother Emiliano C. Magtuto Jr. taught from the Bible that one’s life could only be considered well spent if he aligned himself with his reason for being, that is, the purpose of God in creating him. This, he expounded, is to serve by living in holiness, which is man’s inherent duty to Him.

“Members of the Church of Christ are not remiss in fulfilling that God-given responsibility to share our faith with nonmembers,” Brother Magtuto, said. “Because the time is at hand, the return of the Lord is so imminent, so we have to double time in fulfilling that duty so that many people would also be able to enjoy eternal bliss on Christ’s Second Advent.” — With reports from Trisia Bartolome of INC News Section
