With their faith unshakened by the 7.4-magnitude earthquake rocking them the night before, Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Bislig City, Surigao del Sur convened at six houses of worship to attend a special gathering, during which an oath-taking of 802 new ones also took place on December 3, 2023.

Brother Wilfred Sacayanan, district supervising minister, officiated at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Mangagoy. In his Bible-based lesson, he taught that Church officers must always make sure that they are able to help the Church Administration in caring for and edifying the brethren. He also reminded the Church officers to be good examples in leading the brethren to take part in the various endeavors in the Church.

“Officers are being added into the Church to help the Church Administration in taking care of and in fortifying the faith of the brethren so that all of them will reach spiritual maturity, and thus be certain of salvation,” said Brother Nelson Castro, district Church officers overseer.

“I was overjoyed when I learned that I will be among those who will take oath as officers,” expressed Sarah Jean Ebon from the Local Congregation of Bagnan, who took oath as a district KADIWA officer. “Whatever happens, I will strive to devotedly fulfill the duties entrusted to me, and I will uphold the way of life which God expects us, Church officers, to have,” she added. — With reports from Via Federizo of INC News Section
