Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, officiated at a worship service in the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan, Philippines on August 5, 2023.

Church members from the eight ecclesiastical districts in Metro Manila and five in Bulacan Province, together with their invited guests, assembled in the world’s largest indoor arena for this sacred gathering that also served as an evangelical mission for the proclamation of God’s words.

Selected local congregations all over the world, including those celebrating their milestone anniversaries, also joined through livestreaming.

In his sermon, Brother Eduardo Manalo taught about being well prepared for the Day of Judgment, which is coming very soon. Quoting from the Bible, the Executive Minister pointed out that what the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, commands all who want to be saved on that day is to enter His flock, that is, the true Church Of Christ.

Brother Eufracio B. Castillo Jr., Bulacan South District supervising minister, led the opening prayer; while Brother Romer D. Galang, General Church Officers Overseer, the closing prayer. Brother Ernesto V. Suratos, General Treasurer of the Church, prayed for the offerings.

Among the multitude of guests who were blessed to listen to the Executive Minister’s preaching of the pristine gospel was Ali Sotto, a well-known television personality. “Hearing Brother Eduardo Manalo himself preach the words of God was my first time. It was very moving, very inspiring, and it touches you to the core,” she said in an interview after the worship service.

Alden Antonio, a “Born-again Christian for 10 years,” expressed his desire to continue with joining the Church Of Christ. “It was my first time seeing Brother Eduardo Manalo preach. His explanations were very clear, and really different from what I have heard from other religions. I am more convinced by the teachings of the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” he said.

Meanwhile, Marilyn Garcia observed that “Here in the Iglesia Ni Cristo, [the members] are taught that even if one worships God, but that worship would be useless if it is not done in the true Church.” She resolved: “I have decided to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I have gone through so many hardships. So whatever trials that are yet to come, I will endure all because I have already said [in my prayer] to God that I am already a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.” — With reports from INC News Section, INC Media and Mata ng Agila
