“With the continuous expansion of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) comes the need for more Church officers to be of help to the Administration for the Church’s edification,” said Brother Manny Benedicto, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Nagoya, Japan.

To address such need, the district continuously conducts training seminars for those who aspire to become Church officers. Among them were those who took their oath of office during the district-wide gathering of Church officers on January 15, 2023, at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Nagoya.

Church officers from other local congregations attended at their respective houses of worship, which connected to the host site via videoconferencing. Brother Benedicto emphasized in his biblical preaching how noble it is to become a Church officer and thereby fulfill the sacred duties entrusted to them.

“All the duties in the Church have to be fulfilled wholeheartedly. I am grateful that I’ve been among those entrusted. I will perform my duty to the best of my abilities,” said Maiko Tamaki from the host congregation.

“I thank God for blessing me a duty in the Church so that I could be of help in taking care of the Church and encouraging my fellow brethren to also accept a Church duty,” said Mark Pajo, newly sworn deacon from the same congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
