Brethren from the Church’s local congregation and three group worship service (GWS) in Finland strengthened their brotherly bond through, among others, a sports activity.

On May 22, 2022, the Local Congregation of Helsinki, Finland, and the Espoo, Vantaa, and Hyvinkää GWS, all under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe, gathered together in the Töölon Kisahalli Sports Hall in Paavo Nurmen Kuja, Helsinki and played friendly matches in basketball and volleyball.

With the brethren’s welfare in mind, the Administration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) approves the holding of various activities, including sporting events that bring the brethren closer.

“This kind of activity helps improve our physical health and fosters our activeness in participating in Church activities,” enthused Romeo Bueno, the head deacon of Helsinki.

“It gives chances for the brethren to be more active and to have a social life with other brethren through this kind of Church activities,” added Trisha Allidem, a secretariat officer from the Helsinki Congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
