Before the year ends, the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, in the Philippines, was blessed with more than 1,000 additional officers. They took their oath of office during a special gathering of Church officers on December 2, 2023, which was held at the house of worship of the Kabankalan City Congregation.

“This endeavor of instating more officers in the Church is our district’s response to the call of the Church Administration to persuade more brethren who can take up additional responsibilities, in order to further be of help in caring for the spiritual welfare of their fellow Church members,” said Brother Jose Alegros, district Church officers overseer.

Prior to the oath-taking, Brother Amando Bariring Jr., district supervising minister, delivered his biblical sermon. He reiterated to the newly instated officers the qualities that they should possess being those who would become leaders inside God’s nation.

As a result of this district-wide effort, more deacons, deaconesses, choir members, secretaries, group overseers, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officers, and officers under the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) were added to Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental District.

“I received my duty from the Lord God. So it is only right that I fulfill it with all my heart in order to take care of the brethren placed under my care,” said Sarah Pedrosa, newly appointed deaconess from the Kabankalan City Congregation. — With reports from Glady David and Elaine Talaban of INC News Section
