Single adult members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from eight ecclesiastical districts across Europe reconnected with old friends and made new ones through videoconferencing on April 16, 2023.

The activity dubbed “Meet & Greet” also served as a prelude to the 50th anniversary celebrations of the KADIWA organization in October this year.

“We’re eight districts here in Europe. Though virtual, we hope to get to know more KADIWA inside the Church who are not only from our district but also from neighboring districts,” said Karmina Lou Vargas, KADIWA district president of Italy North. The other seven districts are Central Europe, Italy South, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Spain, United Kingdom, and Western Europe.

Brother Gerry Aliermo, edification overseer in Central Europe, which hosted the activity, gave spiritual advice to the KADIWA members, encouraging them to stay strong in the faith by fulfilling their God-given duties amid challenges in life.

The young brethren then watched performances featuring INC Original Music and took part in interactive games that followed.

“The online quiz about the various European areas was a great way to interact with my fellow brethren while expanding our knowledge at the same time,” observed Samantha Aquino, from the Local Congregation of Milan, Italy North.

To get to know more about their fellow single members, the participants proceeded to break-out rooms for one-on-one sessions with each other. “I met new friends. Indeed, this activity has further strengthened the love of brotherhood,” said Gerel Lopez Abergas, KADIWA officer from The Hague, Netherlands Group Worship Service, Central Europe.

“Having been able to talk with my fellow brethren is so much fun. I hope that I will be able to meet them in person,” said Felix Eor from the Local Congregation of Bastille, France, Western Europe. — With reports from Franceska Heiskanen and Judith Imus of INC News Section
