Thousands of residents from the provinces of Bukidnon, and Zamboanga del Sur, both located in Mindanao, Philippines, received care packages as part of the Worldwide Lingap sa Mamamayan (Care for Humanity) initiative of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) held on October 31, 2023.

In the Ecclesiastical District of Don Carlos, Bukidnon, the humanitarian event was held at the compounds of seven local congregations: Pualas, Malinao, Kalilangan, Salawagan, Magsaysay, Maramag, and Kibawe. Meanwhile, the Ecclesiastical District of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur conducted the activity at the Molave Gymnasium in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

“I am thankful for I was one of the beneficiaries of this activity,” expressed Flor Liwat, one of the guests invited by brethren from the Local Congregation of Pangantucan, Don Carlos, Bukidnon District. “What I have received is certainly of great help for our daily needs.”

“I am happy because I benefited from the Lingap sa Mamamayan of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. Although I’m not a member, I still felt their care for us,” stated Esterlita Obinar, a resident from Zamboanga del Sur.

“This activity was held in response to God’s call, through the Church Administration, to extend aid to our fellowmen who are in need,” stated Brother Nelcar Loberiano, district supervising minister in Pagadian City. — With reports from Mayline Mantagias and Freya Nasol of INC News Section
