Through the approval of the Church Administration, the Ecclesiastical District of La Union in the Philippines recently added the Mameltac Group Worship Service (GWS) to its already 59 local congregations and 12 extensions. Led by the district supervising minister, Brother Ardy D. Mendoza, the inaugural worship service of the said GWS was held on September 13, 2023.

“The need to establish a GWS in this area,” according to the resident minister of the Santiago Norte Congregation, Brother Nolan Olarte, “was due to the continued increase of Church membership as the brethren never cease to share their faith. They can now even more intensify their services to God as there is a place of worship near their homes.”

The place of worship of the newly established GWS is in Brgy. Mameltac in San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines. The parcel of land where the new edifice is situated, including all the materials used to construct, was donated by Benny and Marife Banlaoi, head deacon and deaconess, respectively.

On behalf of the Banlaoi family, Marife said, “Words can’t express how happy our household is; we were part of the Mameltac GWS establishment as approved by the Church Administration. Our hearts are filled with joy knowing that all our efforts came into fruition. But more than anything else, we are truly thankful to God for the blessings that we continue to use in serving Him.”

“We thank God for this wonderful blessing He bestowed. We also thank the Church Administration for continuously guiding us in every holy undertaking of the Church. We promise to uphold our commitment and devotion to serving the Lord God so that His wondrous works will be known to many people,” expressed Brother Olarte. — With reports from Jespher Maghirang and Gerald Picazo of La Union District Multimedia
