On April 29, 2022, prospective members from various congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Aklan who completed the requirements for membership in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) gathered at the house of worship of the Kalibo Local Congregation to receive baptism.

They were the fruits of the intensified efforts of the brethren in the works of propagating the true Christian faith in Aklan, a province in Panay Island, Western Visayas, Philippines.

The sacred occasion was officiated by Brother Marlon Pineda, the assistant district supervising minister. In his Bible-based sermon prior to the baptism proper, he pointed out that cultivating a genuine faith in God is a must in keeping one’s relationship with Him. Through it, he said, one can hope that his prayers will be answered and, most especially, that he will receive life everlasting on Judgment Day.

Reflecting on the homily, Mary Joy Conception, a newly baptized member, promised, “I will strive to obey God’s commandments to be worthy of His blessings. I also promise to remain an active member of the Church Of Christ until the end.” — With reports from INC News Section
