More Haitians, specifically from Petit-Goâve, received baptism in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) at the Caribbean Sea on May 28, 2023.

A coastal commune in Haiti, Petit-Goâve is approximately two hours of flight or 690 miles away from the district office of Caribbean Ecclesiastical District situated at 2000 NW 103rd Ave., Miami, Florida.

Before the candidates for baptism’s immersion in water, they listened to the biblical lesson taught by Brother Ruben Bustos Jr., assistant district supervising minister, who preached from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Miami; the candidates for baptism from the Local Congregation of Petit-Goave gathered at their place of worship. They connected to the host site through livestreaming.

From the teachings of God written in the Bible, Brother Bustos taught those who will receive baptism the importance of joining and remaining inside the true Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). “As attested to in the Bible, the members of the Church Of Christ are the only ones Christ redeemed with His blood, and sure of receiving salvation when Judgment Day comes,” he said.

After the preaching of God’s words, Brother Camy Augustin, a minister of the gospel assigned in Haiti, baptized the would-be members.

Among the newly baptized was Marie Floredina Derislin, who said: “What motivated me to continue listening and finally becoming a member of the Church Of Christ were the proper way of conducting worship services, and because for every query concerning faith, the minister provided answers straight from the Bible.” — With reports from INC News Section
