The Ecclesiastical District of Mountain States held its first golf tournament as part of the INC Unity Games on October 15, 2022. The activity was held at the Desert Pines Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brother Artemio Pilon Jr., district supervising minister, spearheaded the activity with the help of the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers. Brethren who are into the sport of golf gamely participated in the activity.

“It’s nice that our district is pursuing golf as an addition to the Unity Games,” Steven Vo, an organizer from North Las Vegas, Nevada Local Congregation, said. “Everyone is having fun in the tournament. We know we’re doing this in unity with the Church Administration and for God’s glory.”

“We’re here today and we can feel the camaraderie in the form of sportsmanship,” Dan Padila, a participant from South Las Vegas, Nevada Local Congregation, enthused. “In the end, regardless of who wins, we still shake hands, and hold each other. There’s that sense of peace. Hopefully, we can do this again with the help of the Church Administration,” he added.

The Ecclesiastical District of Mountain States supervises 26 local congregations and three Group Worship Services across Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. — With reports from INC News Section
