‘Mr. and Mrs. Chef’ area elimination held in Paniqui, Tarlac District

To choose the Santa Ignacia Area’s representative to the “Mr. and Mrs. Chef” district finals, the Buklod organization in the Ecclesiastical District of Paniqui, Tarlac held the area elimination round.
The cooking contest participated in by married couples was conducted at a covered court in Brgy. Santa Ines East, Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines on August 19, 2023.
Competing couple culinarians came from the local congregations in the Santa Ignacia Area, namely, Cabugbugan, Calipayan, Sta Ignacia, and Vargas. They vied to prepare the best meal comprising an appetizer, the main dish, and dessert.
Dennis and Josephine Sumaoang, from the Local Congregation of Sta Ignacia, won the cooking tilt and thus will be representing their area to the district finals slated in September 2023.
“We are happy because it is our first time to participate and our Father in Heaven blessed us to win,” Josephine expressed. “We give all the glory to God, although we are hesitant at first to join because we haven’t entered a competition before, but the result truly brings honor to our local congregation.” — With reports from Ismael Mateo of INC News Section
